Mooks is Australia's original street fashion brand. Starting with a line of t-shirts designs that mixed a tongue-in-cheek twist of pop art, Japanese comics, American College sports and graphic design, Mooks rapidly grew into a fully-fledged fashion label that needed its own home. In 1992, the first Mooks store landed smack in the middle of Melbourne’s boutique shopping strip and was born into the loose, independent and irreverent brand it is today.
It was how it should be. People creating for like minded people and pretty soon Mooks was defining what streetwear was and is in Australia. Bring it to now, and the Mooks family has grown and evolved. You can find Mooks all across the globe, but the driving force is the same, and each season brings a new layer to the Mooks strata.
