Put a ring on it with Q-pot

13.10.10

We told you we had a heap of great rings to reveal, this weeks pick is Q-pot from Via Alley.

Q-pot’s rings are mouth wateringly Q-uuuuute with a capital Q. They look like delicious desserts, perfectly presented in delightful bite size morsels,  the kind you would expect to find at an epic Alice in Wonderland style Mad Hatters tea party.

Tokyo based designer, Tadaaki Wakamatsu, obviously has a sweet tooth and what better way to conquer the cravings than to channel them into something creative.

He begins with a sketch of the delectable dessert in his head, and then he creates a wax mold before casting it in metal. Cream puffs, petit chou’s, cupcakes, icing dollops and macaroon like pieces all in a delicious sugary colour palate…the list goes on sounding more and more like the menu from the Laduree in Paris.

These rings are as unforgettable as the taste of their inspiration and the sensation lasts a lot longer.

Again we feel it is necessary to issue a warning though

Be wary of young children and animals who may mistake your fingers for dessert!
