In line with updated restrictions announced by the NSW Government on February 18th, a number of restrictions have eased. The key changes for our Centre are listed below.
• No density limits (previously one person per 2sqm for hospitality venues)
• QR check-ins are no longer mandatory in our centres
From February 25th, you are no longer required to wear a face mask in our centres. Masks remain encouraged for settings where you cannot maintain a safe distance from others and for customer facing retail staff to protect vulnerable people who must access these premises and services

In line with updated restrictions announced by the NSW Government on the 23rd of December, it is compulsory for people over 12 years in NSW to wear a mask in all indoor settings from midnight 23rd December (excluding your home).
Density limits have also been introduced for indoor hospitality venues. From December 27 to January 27, the state will reintroduce the one person per 2 square metre rule.
From December 27, it is once again a requirement for all venues to provide QR Codes and for customers to use QR Codes whenever they visit a venue.

Our team has been notified a person who visited Books Kinokuniya at The Galeries on Sunday 20 December between 3pm and 3:45pm has returned a positive test for COVID-19.
The team at Books Kinokuniya are following advice from NSW Health including contact tracing and is increasing their cleaning throughout the store. We’ve also arranged a deep clean of our centre particularly near the store’s entrance, as a precaution.
Our priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and the broader community, and to ensure everyone can visit our centre safely.
We have also increased our cleaning roster since learning of the case, with additional focus on specific areas including; balustrades, retailer door handles, vertical transport, toilets, sinks, change tables and parents’ rooms, customer entry and touch points, information screens, as well as communal furniture throughout the centre. This will continue for the foreseeable future.
At this stage, the advice from authorities is that this has been identified as a casual contact case, therefore anyone who visited the venue on the date and times provided should monitor for symptoms until January 3rd 2021. If you show or have any COVID like symptoms, however mild, you should get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative result.

Our team has been notified a person who visited Arthouse Hotel at The Galeries on Thursday 17 December between 11:15am and 12:15pm has returned a positive test for COVID-19.
The team at Arthouse Hotel is following advice from NSW Health including contact tracing and is undertaking a deep clean and sanitisation of the restaurant. We’ve also arranged a deep clean of our centre overnight, as a precaution.
Our priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and broader community, and to ensure everyone can visit our centre safely.

In line with advice from the State Government, we’re excited to see our restaurants and cafes reopen. From 12:01am Friday, 24 July 2020 the following rules will be in force as NSW enters a state of ‘COVID normal’ we expect everyone to adhere to the government-led requirements and recommendations.
Compliance measures introduced to pubs will be extended to restaurants, bars, cafés and clubs. This includes:
1. Limiting group bookings to a maximum of 10 people
2. Mandatory COVID-Safe plans and registration as a COVID-Safe business
3. A digital record must be created within 24 hours.

It’s been pleasing to see a further easing of some restrictions across NSW in recent weeks which has helped restore confidence in many businesses to reopen and we’re excited to see our customers returning too. In line with advice from the State Government, we’re excited to see a number of our restaurants and cafes reopen, with dine-in options for up to 50 people at one time. Stores will display the maximum number of customers who can be inside at any one time and will adhere to the strict distancing measures.
