Micke studied illustration at The Camberwell College of Art in London. After which, he spent some years living in London & around Europe, before finally landing in Sydney. Over the course of his travels his work changed from illustrations of monsters and animals to the more abstract and playful shapes and flowers he is now known for.
Micke's confident hand and unapologetic choice of chromatically lush material’s, such as Posca pen’s, bright acrylics and printing inks, reward his audience with a visually delightful series of hand-generated and digital arrangements.
His playful compositions make use of balance, colour & contrast to showcase his masterful embrace of the primary palette. The bright and snappy works on exhibit recall his most prominent influences - Scandinavian design, Japanese comics and the balmy Sydney summertime.
For The Galeries, Micke has transformed The Galeries with his signature bold floral forms, crafting a towering take on a Christmas tree which bursts with colour and joy. Think oversized blooms, vibrant shapes, and the ultimate photo moment, an installation as immersive as it is unforgettable.
Experience Micke Lindebergh's art installation The Galeries from 13 November until 5 January 2026.
