Books Kinokuniya Origami Dinosaurs Record Attempt

Books Kinokuniya Sydney attempted to become the Guinness Record holder for the world’s largest display of origami dinosaurs & THEY DID IT!
All dinosaurs were be made within their Craft Month, from 1st to 30th of June 2019.
The chosen origami dinosaur is the Apatosaurus (as pictured below), designed by Michael G. LaFosse for Tuttle Publishing (distributed by New South Books).
The origami dinosaurs were displayed in their in-store gallery which housed an origami folding table where people got involved by creating a dinosaur that contributed to their collection. Invitations for participation from local organisations and schools had also been distributed.
Every person who contributed to this record attempt are credited and have their name listed on their website here.
The hanging display of origami dinosaurs was completed in-store on the 2nd of July, having their final display and tally counted for the record attempt which occurred on July 3rd.
The target to beat was 2,098 origami dinosaurs! AND THEY DID IT - Head count for their Guinness World Record attempt of Largest Display of Origami Dinosaurs is IN...3051 😱!!
They beat the current Guinness World Record for the largest display of origami dinosaurs, Books Kinokuniya, Tuttle Publishing and New South Books have collectively donated $1,000 to their chosen charity, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation!
