LUNAR NEW YEAR 2020
17 Jan 2020
Happy Lunar New Year 2020 at The Galeries!
We are welcoming the Year of the Rat with a celebration of food, art and festive experiences in centre from Tuesday 21st January.
According to the 2020 Chinese horoscope, the Lunar Year starts on Saturday January 25th 2020 and end on February 11th 2021. The Rat is the first sign from the 12 animals cycle of the Chinese Astrology, and for this reasons, 2020 is considered a year of new beginnings and renewals.
TASTE. VOTE. WIN.
Which Lunar New Year dish from The Galeries will win the public's favour?
Sample all three from Boon Table, Grill'd and Lotus Dining, then vote for your favourite dish.
Join the food challenge event, hosted by Masterchef 2020 judge Melissa Leong, in-centre on Thursday 23rd January from 12pm.
The winning food vendor will be announced live in-centre and on The Galeries IGTV (@thegaleries).
The food challenge will be followed by a special live performance by Jaguar Jonze.
The Galeries will celebrate Lunar New Year with a traditional lion dance by Jin Wu Koon to usher in the Year of the Rat and bring prosperity and good luck.
The lion dance will take place on Friday 24th January from 11:45am.
