The Ultimate Lunar New Year Menu

In celebration of Lunar New Year, The Galeries is hosting an exclusive degustation dining experience for seven winners and their friends on Saturday 2 February. Winners will embark on a culinary tour of The Galeries, with retailers plating up a mouth-watering, Lunar New Year-inspired dish. Chef and Masterchef Australia Contestant, Callan Smith will host the feast, but we thought we'd tease you with some of the delicious items of the menu... warning mouth-watering may occur!

Note: This competition has now closed, however you can still enjoy some of these menu items at the participating restaurants. 

First up..Ttotaler will welcome their guests with their exclusive Golden Berries tea in celebration of Lunar New Year. An Instagrammable cold brew tea created from berries, orange peel and blood orange,lightly carbonated and brewed to a vibrant red with shimmering edible gold lustre.

Grill’d is cooking up their most exclusive slider yet, ‘The Porkaroo’- their dim sum inspired fusion slider uses RSPCA approved pork as a nod to the coming Year of the Pig and is dressed with with chilli & ginger mayo, pickled native coastal greens, mint, coriander and crispy fried shallots.

Yayoi serving up a traditional Japanese dish, Unaji Mix Toji using the best quality of rice, Kinme Mai, known for being highly nutritious with high-quality taste.

Jim’s Malaysian is celebrating Lunar New Year by tossing up good fortune with their special Lo Hei with sashimi. Traditionally this dish symbolises an abundance of wealth and long life. 

Inspired by the Chinese New Year, Year of the Pig, Lotus dining has created a sweet custard filled Piggy boa to wish guests, great, sweet fortune throughout 2019.

A perfect ending...NZ Natural is serving a delicious three scoop PIG LUCK sundae. Made from green tea, macadamia and mango passion icecream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce topped with a pig macron.
